Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing construction costs of Commercial and Residential
projects. This will include:
Managing bids, performing scope reviews, tracking and communicating price changes, tracking
measurables, reviewing contracts, and communicating with customers
Coordinating with Project Managers and Foremen on the scope of work for each project,
tracking and communicating change orders, and gathering cost data for completed jobs
Producing customer invoices and managing payments
Performing post-job reviews of pricing to continually improve accuracy and profitability of the
estimating process.
• Manage bid schedule in a timely manner, ensuring deadlines are met
• Secure plans and any other project specifications necessary for bid preparation
• Perform detailed scope reviews of projects; Forecast all labor, equipment, material, and supply
needs for the project with the available information
• Manage contact list of vendors/suppliers; Secure pricing information needed to complete bids
• Perform take-offs to be presented to customers with pricing
• Complete and present customer-facing estimates with pricing
• Communicate with clients on bid questions/changes
• Review drawing revisions for changes to work; Update bid documents and track all changes
• Produce neat, accurate, and complete paperwork and electronic files for the bid or any
changes after construction has begun
• Conduct pre-project plan review with Project Manager and Foremen to ensure scope of work is
clear and fully accounted for in the estimate
• Continually communicate with Foremen on job information to improve estimating accuracy
• Assist Project Manager on pricing, tracking, and communicating change orders
• Perform job-costing at project completion
• Gather data on completed jobs and produce accurate customer invoices
• Work to continually improve estimating process to ensure accuracy and profitability
• Basic computer skills; capability to spend extended periods at a computer
• Prior experience or willingness to learn Excel, Planswift, and other job bidding software
• Ability or willingness to learn how to read construction plans
• Strong professional communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
• Team-player mentality and an ability to work well with others
